On June 23, the team of the "Coalition for Independent Living" met representatives of the town halls of Bolnisi, Gardabani, Dmanisi, Tetritskaro, Marneuli, Rustavi, and Tsalka municipalities and held a meeting on the topic of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The training was led by Ketevan Khomeriki, a specialist in the law of the rights of persons with disabilities, and Giorgi Dzneladze, the chairperson of the "Coalition for Independent Living".

The meeting was held within the framework of the project "Advocacy for the Implementation of the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities" The "Europe Foundation" and the "Independent Living Center of the Hudson Valley" are the project's partners.

The activity aims to strengthen the organizations of persons with disabilities operating in Georgia so that they can effectively implement the equal rights defined by the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Advocacy and support efforts against discriminatory practices.
